FAQ's
Q: What ages do you teach?
We teach children from reception age 4 to 17, and Adults
Q: Are there separate classes for primary, secondary and adults?
Our classes are organized by age groups to ensure tailored learning experiences. Keystage 1 and 2 (ages 4-11) have their own dedicated classes, while Keystage 3 and 4 (ages 11+) are grouped separately. We also offer specialised classes for adults, providing a supportive environment for all.
Q: Do we need to bring anything?
Please bring your child with their own water bottle. We provide other necessary materials, including aprons. Occasionally, we may request additional items, such as cardboard or t-shirts for printing, and we will communicate these needs separately.
q: what should they wear?
Dress your children in clothes they won’t mind getting paint on, as we do provide aprons, but they may not catch everything. We frequently use acrylic paint that binds with fabric fibres and doesn’t wash out. Keep in mind that creativity can get a little messy, but that’s all part of the fun!
Q: What happens in and after a trial
Experience a free trial session for your child, where they can try our lessons and discover if they enjoy the experience. If they choose to join us afterward, there's nothing more you need to do! However, if they decide not to continue, please let us know before the next session so we can cancel the subscription and ensure no charges occur.
Q: How often will my child bring their work home?
This all depends on the lessons, some are short, some are longer projects which we work on over several weeks. Each child gets their own drawer/ storage space where they can keep their work. We encourage children to take home any work they have completed by the end of each term.
Q: will my spot be reserved for the whole term if I book a free trial?
Instead of traditional terms, we offer a flexible subscription model. When you book a trial for a class, a spot is reserved your child for as long as you choose to continue. Enjoy peace of mind knowing your child has a dedicated place in our program!
Q: what happens if we miss a class?
If you miss a class, we encourage you to take advantage of our catch-up options in any of our other available classes. It's helpful for us to know in advance, but we understand that situations may arise unexpectedly. Please note that if a class is missed and no catch-up is scheduled, that session will be forfeited, and no refund will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
Q: Can my child work on their own projects?
Our Saturday classes focus on Child Directed Learning, allowing children to explore and create freely. In contrast, our afterschool sessions feature structured lessons that encourage students to follow a carefully curated lesson plan. We understand that exceptions arise, such as homework, GCSE coursework, or the need for extra support for SEN. If you have any specific concerns, please feel free to reach out to us!
Q: whats the difference between term-time classes and holiday camp?
The main difference between our term-time classes and holiday camp is the structure and focus. Term-time classes offer structured lessons that promote skill development in a more formal setting, while our holiday camp emphasizes child-directed learning, allowing kids to explore their creativity with guidance from our artists. Both provide a fantastic opportunity for artistic growth, but the holiday camp focuses more on fun and self-expression.
