Special Editions of an image are different to the original and normally more scarce than Limited Editions.

Where a Limited Edition will seek to replicate the original, a Special Edition will alter it in some way. For instance by digitally altering the colours or the background, cropping the original image or printing on a different material.

A special edition of an image is generally very rare and may be made available in response to a particular occasion or with a particular cause in mind.

Special Editions tend to be very small in number with maybe only 5 or 10 being made.

​

This scarcity and distinction from the original image can mean that these command a high degree of interest from collectors.

If you see one, you may wish to snap them up as they will not be there long.
